The Painted Stairs

We left the grey carpet on these stairs for quite some time, while I debated whether to continue the runner that we had put down on the first set. In the end we decided to have a go at painting them first, if this didn't work the runner could then take over...  This is not the case and the painted stairs are here to stay! 


After... 



I matched the paint as close as I could to the runner on stairs 1, this ended up being Farrow and Ball Purbeck Stone and then the base is Antique White by Eico. I debated having a similar pattern to stairs 1, but realised this would be too fiddly, so went for something simpler. We have had them like this for six months now and I am delighted to say that they haven't chipped, in fact these stairs are much lower maintenance than the one with a runner.   ​
